Mission Statement
Dragon Oak Temple of Arizona

Created with the goal of making a place for people
of many different paths,
to come together to learn and teach.

Our mission is to teach responsibility
for one's own actions and the
world around them.

Changing people from the sheep who follows
to a shepherd who leads
.

All paths are welcomed for we are not here to judge
each other, but to learn from all the different
possibilities that exist in this world today
and tomorrow.

We strive to become a strong, united community
even while beliefs, practices and personalities may differ.

Differences should be embraced not feared.

A study of other religions will lead to an
understanding of religious diversity.
With this knowledge, then one can truly
understand their own belief and
keep it in their mind and heart.

With religious tolerance, we mean that everyone,
Christians, Jews, Muslims, Wiccans, Pagans, and others,
should be able to follow their own
 religious beliefs and practices freely.

Dragon Oak Temple

is looking at helping individuals to become self empowered.

To help teach each person about themselves and the world around them.
We are not path specific. This is not a working coven.
We are not in to complicated ritual or history.
Our goal is to help each individual understand themselves and to grow closer to
the Spirit around them on which ever level they connect.

Having tolerance toward another religion
does not require you to endorse that faith group's beliefs,
it simply indicates your respect for its right to exist and for its member to hold different beliefs without being oppressed.

Religious freedom means that you can
without oppression,
believe, worship and witness
(or practice freedom from belief, worship and witness),
 as you wish.
Change your beliefs or your religion at any time, and/or
associate with others to express your beliefs, and explain them to others.

*************************************************

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books.
Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conductive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.

--The Buddha

You are either a person that makes things happen.

A person that watches things happen.
Or a person that wonders what happened.
